The hotel and facilities were beautiful. Located in the Amana Colonies, it was walking distance to restaurants, breweries, wineries, and shopping. There was a restaurant and bar inside the hotel as well as a separate small building which had a full bar inside. They had seating inside and outside. The hotel used to be a textile factory so they had all kinds of antique sewing machines, looms, and textile tooling located throughout the hotel. The bathrooms were large with a walk-in shower. The beds were large and comfortable with blankets made at the working textile mill across from the hotel. The staff was always available and pleasant.

Very modern. Loved the large shower and generous room space. Lots of horizontal surfaces to store items. Room was clean when I arrived, but not cleaned properly after my first night (sink not cleaned properly and bed not made tidily). Didn’t use housekeeping after that.

Dog friendly, aprox $75. Room was huge, shower was amazing and roomy! The room itself shows so much character, they kept the structure of the factory and made it spacious and beautiful. The cafe restaurant is open on Monday and breakfast was delightful. The little museum displays are charming, with old weaving looms and equipment. Down the street, walking distance, from a couple other restaurants and shops!

Breakfast was delicious, as were all the meals we had at the hotel. They have some excellent chefs. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a lovely shower. The building is very solid, with high ceilings, and I heard no noise either from the hallway or the floor above me. The staff was uniformly friendly, even those I passed casually on the property took the time to smile and say hello.

Hotel Millwright is just a wonderful unique hotel to stay at. The facilities are top tier and the historic buildings and antique woolen mill artifacts throughout the buildings add to it's charm. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and rooms spacious.

Did not have breakfast but had wine and dessert in the bar. Like the proximity to shops and restaurants. Loved the mint cake in the bar area. Wonderful bed. Would love to know the mattress brand. Liked the design of the hotel and assimilation of the weaving mill components into modernity. We really liked Frank the bartender. Very personable.

Absolutely loved Hotel Millwright! The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. The halls and sitting areas of the hotel are tastefully decorated with antique equipment from it's days as a woolen mill. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast in the hotel's restaurant and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Such a great place to stay! We definitely will plan another trip there in the future.

Hotel was brand new and built with the best of everything. Room furnishings were high quality and reflective of theme. Bed was super comfortable and used the best linens. Bathroom was huge and towels were high quality. EVERYTHING WAS HIGH QUALITY. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

This is an on old wool mill remodeled and opened two years ago. It is a good value in a scenic Amana location. Very quiet area. Pleasant staff. The mill made blankets and other products with equiptment powered by a water wheel. Lots of history. Not busy this time of year.

Hotel Millwright adds so much charm to an already charming area in the Amana Colonies. I have zero negative things and 120% all good things! You need to stay here and enjoy all the amenities, the super friendly and competent staff and of course, the town itself.
